For the second straight year the Connect the Dots Festival will bring multiple SXSW artist from Austin to Southeast Texas. This DIY festival, hosted by the musicians themselves, proves that a scene is held together by a community of artists and music lovers not an establishment. The purpose of this event is to create an avenue for artists in different regions to connect with each other and continue to expand the grassroots infrastructure of independent artists and their fans. CTDs 2009 features 4 Austin bands with SXSW credentials and nine indie and folk artists from Southeast Texas working to put their scene on the map. We are inspired by the incredible amount of talent in the Golden Triangle area and wish to share it with the rest of the world.
