Our official list, once comprised of Growth Spert and Illicitizen, now doubles in number to include the former compilation contributors of Asleep, Audience…Dream! (OK) and newcomer Jonathan Badger (MD).  Glad to have you in again, AAD, and welcome, Jonathan Badger.

The unofficial list of people who have expressed interest has also grown.  Former contributors Orents Stirner (TX), Cracker Creeptacular (NC), Ginsu Wives (AR), Sleep Today (AR), Phalynx (CA), K_Niv_Es (TX), and The Binary Marketing Show (NY) have all expressed interest in submitting their work, which is excellent.  They are joined by Doves & Desperados (CA), Laserz (TX), Infinite Sky Foundation (TX), Benko (TX), No Mother (AR), and The Great Nostalgic (TX).

At this point, there are 16 available slots on the fourth compilation. To secure a spot, one must submit both a track and a monetary donation – for more information, check out the compilations information page.  The deadline is at the end of this month.

The music that has been submitted so far is fantastic.  We can’t wait to hear more.

Don’t forget that another important part of the compilation is the artwork.  If you are a visual artist looking to submit some work that may be featured on our fourth compilation, head to the forum and get to clicking.

In other news:

Big news coming from the Binary Marketing Show camp as their newest album, Pattern, is to be set free officially tomorrow.  First, their music has been picked up by Spacelab Radio.    Second, you may preview the whole album here.  Third, you can purchase the album over at Dive Records.

Little Rock based Negative Art Productions (Ginsu Wives, Sleep Today, Sassy Goose, Androids of Ex-Lovers, etc..) has graciously released 14 ALBUMS for free over at Last fm!!!  There’s amazing music over there that should be added to your collection immediately!!

Chiaroscuro, NC metal band who appeared on the 8088 Record Collective Compilation Vol. 3, has changed their name to SYSTEMS.  Go to their Myspace page to here their epic 4 parter The Desert.

Memphis Pencils was recently voted best Indie/Ambient artist during the annual Northwest Arkansas Music Awards in Fayetteville, AR.  Congrats to those dudes!

Bad Credit No Credit got a top notch review of their e.p. Hey Rube! over at Adequacy.net.  Check it.

Finally in late July, we can expect a new album from the haunting Sleep Today.  According to their myspace blog, the album will be way different and it’ll be released in vinyl, cassette, and digital formats!  I’m looking forward to this!  If you can’t wait you can quench that Sleep Today thirst by purchasing their last release Abandon this House from Italian tape label Best Kept Secret.
